On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my absolute privilege to welcome you to the official platform for the 1st International Borneo-MAEMHS Health Professions Education Conference (IBHPEC 2027). Jointly hosted by Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS FPSK) and the Malaysian Association of Education in Medical & Health Sciences (MAEMHS), this premier event will take place from 20–22 April 2027 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

Our world is changing rapidly, and the future of healthcare education demands that we look beyond tradition. Gathered under the theme "Reimagining Planetary Health and Values-Driven Education Through Digital Innovation," we aim to move beyond standard competence to drive real-world impact. Together, we will examine how to integrate planetary health, equity, social accountability, and digital breakthroughs like AI into the core of health professions training.

Whether you are an educator, practitioner, researcher, student, or policymaker, your voice is essential to this transdisciplinary movement.
